DeCA members were invited to a special, curated tour led by Sotheby’s VP Hang Yin and Specialist Cindy Qi, offering a rare glimpse into the unseen moments behind the creation and curation of Asian art masterpieces.
From intricate gilded sculptures to timeless bronze relics and elegant Ming and Qing porcelains, each piece held a story crafted through history and artistry. Through guided discussions and close observation, members uncovered the cultural significance, craftsmanship, and narratives that brought these works to life.
This “behind the scenes” experience went beyond a traditional tour—it was an intimate dialogue with art, where members connected deeply with the stories and craftsmanship embedded within each piece.
The Dawn Eleven Contemporary Art Foundation recently arranged a private tour at Sotheby’s in New York, offering members a rare and immersive experience with exceptional Asian art.
Led by Sotheby’s VP Hang Yin and Specialist Cindy Qi, the tour provided an intimate setting for members to explore curated pieces, from intricate sculptures to refined porcelains. The experience allowed attendees to engage directly with the art, deepening their appreciation for its cultural and historical significance.
